Support NIH Funding

Federal funding for biomedical research is in jeopardy. Currently, funding for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and other federal programs will expire on February 8, 2018. Despite general support for research, Congress has not yet passed a funding bill, which may result in another government shutdown. The Endocrine Society has been a leading advocate for research funding – we have met with Representatives and Senators, we have submitted testimony, we have called on Congress to pass a bipartisan funding bill with an increase for NIH. However, it is critical that all members of Congress hear from YOU, their constituents, about the need to provide robust, sustained, and predictable funding for NIH in FY 2018 and to pass a funding bill that includes a funding increase for NIH.
