credit unions' tax status!

Your advocacy is a vital part of advancing the credit union movement. Please show your support for credit unions and take action on the following issues:
Help Minnesota’s small businesses gain access to much needed credit. The Small Business Lending Enhancement Act (S. 968) would raise the credit union member business lending cap to 27.5% of assets. This common-sense provision would provide up to $193 million to small businesses in Minnesota in the first year of enactment, and create more than 2,000 new jobs in the state, at no cost to taxpayers.
Please TAKE ACTION on this issue. Go to the Federal Issues tab of this site, sign in and email your legislators to ask them to support S. 968.
- The Capital Access for Small Business and Jobs Act (H.R. 719) would provide credit unions with the ability to raise capital from alternative sources. These other sources of capital would still maintain the “one member, one vote” principal that is fundamental to the credit union structure. This common-sense legislation enhances safety and soundness and ensures that consumer and their communities will continue to receive support from their credit unions in the future.
Please TAKE ACTION and click on the Federal Issues tab of this site. Encourage your representatives to support H.R. 719!
That's all it will take to learn the issues and send a letter to your elected officials. The actions of our government have an enormous impact, so please educate yourself and act. Please take the following actions:
